How much is your delivery fee?
Our delivery service offers a straightforward and affordable flat fee of just £5, regardless of the number of boxes you order. Whether you opt for one box or several, you’ll pay the same delivery price. This allows you to enjoy the convenience of ordering as much as you need without the concern of rising delivery costs
When will my order be delivered?
We deliver exclusively on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Orders will arrive on the date chosen at checkout. You can place orders up to 10 days in advance or by 12 noon for next-day delivery. Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive an email notification along with tracking details and a one-hour delivery window.
How will my order be delivered?
Your order will be delivered frozen in temperature-controlled packaging to maintain optimal freshness. Each package includes dry ice, which is essential for keeping your items at the right temperature. Please handle dry ice with care and always wear gloves to avoid skin burns. For detailed safety and disposal guidelines, refer to the information provided here. Your safety is our highest priority, so we ask that you take these precautions seriously when handling your order.
Box Return
Help us be more environmentally friendly by returning our box to us! DPD will collect the box during your next delivery. Just set it aside and use the ‘reverse-it’ labels provided inside. Thank you for your support!
What if I am not in when my delivery arrives?
You can choose to have your items delivered to a neighbour or a secure location. Please remember that the products arrive frozen in temperature-controlled packaging and should be placed in your freezer (or oven if you're eager to eat) as soon as you receive them. We advise against rescheduling your delivery with DPD, as any delays may affect the quality of your pastries. Please note that deliveries rescheduled with DPD that have thawed or spoilt will not be eligible for a refund.
Where do you deliver?
We currently deliver to Mainland UK and are excited to explore the possibility of expanding our service to the wider UK and Ireland in the future. Our top priority is ensuring the safety of our customers and products. We aim to deliver all items within a day of dispatch, and at this time, our courier is focused on maintaining the best delivery standards in the areas we serve.
There is an issue with my delivery, what should I do?
We take great pride in the care and attention to detail that goes into preparing and delivering your order. While we strive for perfection, we understand that issues may occasionally arise. If you encounter any problems, such as damage during transit, please take a photo of your delivery and send it along with your comments to orders@theoriginalbaker.co.uk. We’re here to work together with you to resolve any concerns!
